As a local Ashland resident, Karan, her husband Jay and dog Toby were looking for a low maintenance community for their next move. It was a time in their lives when health, wellness and fun were all aspirational. Little did they know, Chickahominy Falls was being imagined at the same time and out of that same wish list. Cornerstone Homes had plans to meet every need, fulfill every want and dare to imagine what was outside the ordinary. It was then that the connection was made. Redefining what active adult living could be and giving the idea a place to grow. When research led them to Chickahominy Falls, Richmond’s only 55+ Agri-Community, the spark was immediate.
For Christa, living just five miles down the road gave her the perfect front row seat to see Chickahominy Falls come to life. As any proper neighbor would do, she started attending events and as she would tell you was “tickled” to become a part of this unique lifestyle that inspired her to look ahead in the right direction. The Chickahominy Falls experience is a memorable one, with its ability to make you feel right at home, yet totally whisked away at the very same time. And even now, with almost three years at home here, as the community continues to grow, life only gets better as time goes by.
As The Farmhouse opened this month, the community’s resort-style clubhouse literally opened the doors to so much more. It’s all part of a greater good approach where planting an idea with care and watching it grow can be a lovely reminder of how beautiful change can be.
