Woodside Farms – Your Health & Wellness Center for Fun

They say goodness grows from the earth and at Woodside Farms goodness certainly is growing as the winter fields are planted for spring. But it’s also growing in the big red barn! Woodside Farms’ red barn is becoming the epicenter for health and wellness at Chickahominy Falls and in greater Hanover County.

Woodside Farms has an abundance of wellness activities to enjoy this coming year. It started with a “Wellness Fair” in January. As the cool January temperatures settled in outside, the warmth and aroma of hot soup and sandwiches wafted from inside. Woodside Farms winter produce was for sale and several locally sourced vendors with a variety of health and wellness products and services were also available. Many of these vendors will be returning over the year at our “Pop-up Markets”. Woodside Wellness Chats offer a free lecture and cocktail reception on a variety of wellness topics. They cover everything from Cancer to Finances and everything in between. Our first Wellness Chat is in March will feature Dr. Mary Helen Hackney from Massey Cancer Center. She will be speaking on the “Truths and Myths of Cancer”. Learn more about other lectures coming this year.

Sip and Savor was a treat for the senses and those who love to be social. Featuring Woodside Farms very own Chef Devon Hammer’s culinary delights with pairing of beer, wines and ciders from Garden Grove Brewery and Urban Winery. Woodside is planning another memorable experience for April 13th. Tickets will go on sale soon!Pop-Up Farm Stands at Woodside Farms have become a regular monthly activity. In March, we will feature Brunch in the Barn as well as a variety of vendors. April 23rd we’ll celebrate Earth Day with plenty of activities for the whole family. Followed by May 14th’s pet-friendly stand and parade, June 18th’s Art Show featuring local artisans and July 9th’s good old fashioned “Cruise In” featuring antique cars.
