Woodside Farms’ Partners

Saturdays now have a new rhythm as we swing into spring. Every Saturday from 9 am-noon, we’ll be having our farm stands outside, under the white pavilion, chockablock full of Woodside Farms-grown produce (check out our previous blog to find out more about our farm stands). But that’s not all we have going on here at the farm! Woodside also partners with other local, organic, and naturally grown farms and vendors, carefully selected to bring the best of central Virginia to your table to nourish you and your family.

Creambrook Farm Milk: Nestled in the hills of Middlebrook, VA, Creambrook Farm is a family-run operation. Ben & Kristen Beichler, together with their 3 small children, work, run, and care for the cows and land. They offer 100% grass-fed, Jersey raw milk herd shares to families throughout the Valley and Central VA and offer events and tours throughout the year. They even have milk-fed pigs there! You better believe I’m gonna make a trip out there to tour the farm (meet the baby pigs and cows). If you’re interested in joining their grass-fed raw milk share check out their website and choose Woodside Farms as your pickup spot!

La Bella Vita Bread: La Bella Vita Bakery is a family-owned and operated business located in Ashland and founded with a simple idea in mind: high-quality baked goods begin with high-quality ingredients. Their ingredients lists are short with words we can all pronounce, which is always something I look for in all my food. You wouldn’t believe how often store-bought bread brands add sugar to their bread! La Bella Vita also has lots of different types of bread options for all your bread needs – dinner rolls, party packs, country white bread, sourdough, etc. Speaking of sourdough, their sourdough starter dates all the way back to 1847, and the dough is allowed to ferment for 3 days to add to the unique flavor profile of the bread. La Bella Vita Bread can be ordered through the Pinwheel Farm website for pickup during the Woodside Farms farm stands!

All Good Acres Meat: Located on a 54-acre farm in Beaverdam, All Good Acres employs regenerative growing practices that maintain the crops and animals without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. We were lucky enough to tour the farm this winter and got to meet a lot of the animals. They were so happy, healthy, and well looked after. You can pick up All Good Acres Meat at our farm stands and also check out their Facebook Page.

Pinwheel Farm Eggs: We’ve loved watching the ladies from Pinwheel Farms live and grow around the farm and their eggs have always been an incomparable ingredient to most of my morning breakfasts. While Pinwheel Farm has announced that they’ll be shutting their coop doors this year, they will still be selling eggs as long as they can. From Andy at Pinwheel Farm: “For the next few weeks it will still be business as usual and Pinwheel Farm Eggs and La Bella Vita Breads will still be available. Eggs will be in very short supply and any additional support you can give will be appreciated. Buying bread is a great way to give us and La Bella Vita Bakery your support.” You can shop their eggs and La Bella Vita Breads here.

RVAg: And if all that isn’t filling up your table enough, Woodside Farms is also a pickup spot for RVAg. They have hundreds of products, all locally grown or produced, including fruit, milk & other dairy products, baked goods, kombucha & other specialty drinks, chocolate, dog treats, prepared foods, and much more! Go online and Click, Pay, Pickup! Your pre-paid, pre-packaged products will be ready for you at the barn on Wednesdays from 4 pm-6 pm. For more info on what they offer check out their website.
We’re so happy and proud to bring locally grown and sourced food to you and your family. We hope you are able to fill your dinner table with food that nourishes you as well as your community!
