And although this year will be different than most, this wonderful town we live in has found a way to safely keep the spirit in the season. Christmas At Granny’s Craft Show.

Saturday, November 21 – Sunday, November 22

We all know everything is better at Grandma’s house. So with a name like this, it’s sure to be full of fun. Kick-off your holiday shopping season at The Virginia Cliffe Inn’s annual craft show, featuring incredible homemade items from local vendors.  In order to comply with Phase 3 State of Virginia requirements, a ticketing system has been put in place to limit the number of visitors for adequate social distancing. All ticket sales will support St. Joseph’s Villa School of Autism.

Santa’s Workshop: Cookies, Crafts & Cocoa

Saturday, December 12 – Noon – 3:00 p.m.

Bring the grandkids to enjoy a day full of crafting ornaments, holiday cards, cookie decorating and even indulge in a hot cocoa bar. Santa will make his arrival virtually via an interactive North Pole experience. Giving you all of the best ingredients for holiday memory making.

GardenFest of Lights

November 23 – December 17

One of the region’s favorite holiday events is returning this year with several new safety precautions in place. This outdoor event is hosted at the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. Thousands of lights will line garden paths and twinkle in the trees under the night sky. Giant flowers, peacocks, even a unicorn and dragon will return to this year’s display. And an outdoor model train will be new and exciting. Purchase your tickets online and in advance.

James River Cellars Winery has several holiday inspired activities to help you mix and mingle safely. This Winter Wonderland canvas backdrop inspires holiday whimsy. Partnering with local artist, Nancy Jacey, you can create a holiday masterpiece of your own and enjoy a glass of wine to help get those creative juices flowing. It’s the perfect way to eat, drink and be merry.
